I don't know much about destiny

At times like this, I accept that it exists

Is this the me that you really want? Hey, is it?

→ These lines signal Sora insecurities. Change is something even he fears, knowing well of it be Kairi’s too, and so he doubts himself and his worth. He doesn't quite get if this is what's destined to be, but he wants to accept it for what it is.

I wish you didn't put so much expectation on me

→ He's disappointed her once. He still beats himself for it, wishing she had never place so much faith in him. His guilt still reigns within him.

In the day of today there will be no falsehood

This is an oath for the eternity

→ Here he addresses making an oath for life.

I don't need pretty flowers or any witnesses

Let's just wear rings with the same color

I can't help but feel frustrated

I want to sleep everyday clinging to you in a way that is almost uncool

→ He confesses his frustration with himself. Not just because he's broken his promise, but even after that, he selfishly wants to be with her without rationalization or validation of anyone else, no matter how ludicrous.

I won't make promises anymore

They are just to please people

What I'm gonna say now isn't some second-hand opinion

It's not a promise either, it's an oath

→ He declares making an oath again. Love is no easy encounter to admit or express through words alone. It's shown through a series of affection and identifies the conflicts and overcomes them. It's more than forming fulfilling promises to be together. It's about establishing and maintaining trust and commitment.

I can't go back to being the"me" who was a liar

→ He can't be the same as before. He wants be better. One that can sustain their oath for life.

→ A pair of matching luck charms, who knows.

→ He wants to leave behind and forget the hardships, if only for while to celebrate what they have and what they are now.

→ Reminiscing old times can be so tragic to think about, because those days are numbered. Change occurs through time, and nothing can bring back those times. Back when times were simpler, freeing. (*KH1 ending nostalgia*)

→ This could very well be a parallel. The door to light was the result of Kairi's connection with Sora through her letter. Kairi is the door to light, and Sora is the key.

There are no alternatives anymore

There are no precedents for the day of today

→ There’s nothing new, nothing optional about what they feel.

Imagine Sora in the capital city of Corona, wondrously basking his surroundings and the innumerable of jolly folk in endless bantering and celebration as they collectively perform traditional dances (courtesy of Rapunzel).

This facinates him as his mind trails off to wonder: If Kairi were here to see this...

Except he wouldn't have to daydream of the what-ifs any further.

In the mist of the crowd, comes a familiar figure in his direction. Sora denies his sight at first, but with the figure drawing closer, it becomes difficult for him to look away.

Because in front of him stands Kairi, with her hands behind her, flashing an ethereal smile.
